Kinja'd!!!

So a couple of years ago I posted a picture I found on Instagram of an E63 with E350 badges. Today I happened to run into the car/person in real life and can confirm it’s real. As I was walking I saw this E63 parked and thought “Ooh an E63, my favorite!”.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

As I got closer I noticed they removed the V8 Bi-Turbo badge on the side. “Hmm that’s weird maybe they debaged the whole thing”, nope.

Kinja'd!!!

I burst out laughing in the street at seeing this and snap a couple of pics. Call my friend to tell him what I’m seeing and the owner comes out. I told him he wins at trolling and that it’s fuckin hilarious, he laughed and thanked me then got in and let that V8 do all the talking as he drove away. Made my day lol

I don’t know if this exists, but if so, it would be better: An RS6 with Passat fascia & trim .

I have always dreamt of down-badging a car but haven’t owned any real performance or prestige cars for that to be cool. I’m glad someone is actually doing it.

This is awesome! Love that he’s done this.

But that front plate is making my right eye twitch uncontrollably.

Lol the pic from two years ago shows no front plate so it might just be when he’s parking in the city to avoid issues.

I’ve always wanted to find one of these kits (which in some ways looks better proportioned than the F355) but leave all of the Toyota badges on it. An MR2 is an MR2 is an MR2..

Why not badge it as a diesel?

That makes sense - I totally understand not drilling the bumper for a bracket, but what he has looks half asses. For occasional use I could see that though

He’s using the tow hitch mount so I can’t fault him. I’d just run no plate like my last Benz.

Only if it was a real Ferrari that you were swapping Toyota badges onto

Diesel would be the ultimate trolling

E200 CDi would be the best.

Does this mean NY doesn’t have apparent socio-economic based plate enforcement? I swear the Seattle area take rate for front plates on Tesla has to be under half.

They have “dickhead plate enforcement”, drive like a dickhead and they’re going to pull you over and ticket you for everything including your lack of front plate. Act like a civilized good driver and you blend into the background like camouflage.

Funny. I suppose that’s better than nothing, esp if a dickhead Ferrari is pulled over the same as a dickhead 95 Civic.
